How to Connect Using OBD Wi-Fi

  1. Find OBD port usually located below the dashboard.

  2. Connect OBD Wi-Fi cable.
  3. Start vehicle.
  4. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings -> Wi-Fi.
  5. Select the Wi-Fi device from the list of available networks.  The network could be listed as PLXDevices, CLKDevices or something similar.
  6. Select the accessory button from the selected network device.
  7. Set "Auto-Join" to ON.
  8. Select the "Static" IP Address button.
  9. Set the IP Address to 192.168.0.12 or some other unused address within the subnet mask. Note: The OBD Wi-Fi device is usually defaulted to 192.168.0.10, so do not use that IP address.
  10. Set the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0
  11. Exit back to home screen and start the application.
  12. If successfully configured, you should see the application attempting to connect. Otherwise, an error message will be displayed.
